Today’s Chairwoman:  President Marion Beckerink led the Club in the Pledge of Allegiance and, along with Caítlín O'Reilly, the singing of the National Anthem.

The invocation was given by Sharon Hamilton.

Caítlín, Club Vice-President, welcomed visitors Misti Allen (District Executive of Scouting America and guest of Becky Robbins), Sophia Cama (daughter and guest of Emily Cama), Jean Lloyd (wife and guest of John Lloyd), and Dee Nelson (guest of Cheri Krull and host family in the fall). 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Cheri Krull reminded members the club is still seeking host families for incoming youth students, especially the need for one in the Southwestern School District. She added, however, that arrangements could be made for a family interested in hosting, but who is located outside of the school district. She also thanked members for helping to provide transportation to and from Buffalo for Heath Bounday, the youth exchange student from Australia. 

Ruth Lundin noted that members are still needed to sign up for weekly meeting duties, including greeter, 50/50, set up, and closing. She also is still requesting a two-week commitment to water and weed the planter and garden in front of Love School. And she reminded members that the 6-month dues for the new fiscal year should be paid soon, prior to the middle of the month. The initial dues fee is $100, with the final installment yet to be determined.

Max Eimiller announced that the annual golf tournament is still in need of donations and sponsors. He also indicated that teams are also still needed to sign up. The golf tournament is Monday, July 14 with a shotgun start at 11:30. It is the club's biggest fundraiser of the year. 

President Marion, on behalf of Emily Cama, Social Chair, that the Annual Celebration Dinner will be held at the Harbor Hotel in Celoron on June 30th. Cocktails at 5 p.m., and the dinner will start at 5:30 p.m.

50-50 WINNER

Emily Cama, as 50-50 volunteer, asked guest Dee Nelson to draw the winning ticket.  Rhonda Johnson was the winner of $38.

FINES & HAPPY BUCKS

Sergeant-at-Arms Doug Conroe levied fines for John Lloyd, who was recognized as a distinguished alumnus of Penn State - Bertrand. Kristin Melville was also fined for the WCA Foundation being recognized recently in the news for scholarship awards to local students. Doug also posed a trivia question to one of the tables: What day of the year has the most outdoor bar-b-ques in the US? The answer was Memorial Day.

Chris Anderson for the Southwestern Baseball Team's run to the Section 6, Class B Final.  First time the team has reached the game since 1982!

David Troxell announced the start of the 2025 Jamestown Tarp Skunks season. 

Deb Kathman announced her two oldest grandchildren being accepted to college. Isaac is going to SUNY Binghamton and katie is going to Syracuse. 

Heath Bounday thanked Rhonda for being generation and also paid a dollar to show his appreciation for visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright Darwin Martin House in Buffalo. 

Dan Heitzenrater recognized Rich Dixon, retiring CFO of the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency. 

And Jason Sample announced that the Friends of the Chautauqua County Greenways public meeting is taking place on June 11 at 5 p.m., at the Robert H. Jackson Center.
