***Tomorrow, March 10th, is Spud Ericson's 87th birthday. This year more than anything, he could really use some love and cheer! He spends all day, every day, caring for his wife Jonie and it's been a long haul! A call or email would mean the world to him from his Fellow Rotarians! Email to: spartyspud@netsync.net

CHAIR: Joni Blackman

WEATHER: intermittent sun & clouds and warming a bit

INVOCATION: Sue Jones asked for guidance to see those in need and wisdom to serve our community.

VISITING ROTARIANS & GUESTS: Kristan McMahon, Jake and Nora Schrantz

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Literacy Chairman Diana Meckley announced a Thursday ZOOM meeting for the committee where they will develop new projects to involve all members.

The ROTARY CLUB OF JAMESTOWN desperately needs a new treasurer effective July 1 (but it would be nice to work with Russ Webb for a few weeks before that). Please search your soul and see if you can take on this important position and help our club.

Jason Stronz sent our Club one of the 100th anniversary golf green flags from Moon Brook Country Club, which our Club founded. It is beautiful and will have a place of honor in our historical office.

PAUL HARRIS FELLOW PRESENTATION: Jake Schrantz was presented a Paul Harris Fellow due to the generosity of member Gail Donus. Please watch the video of his surprise presentation here.

HAPPY BUCKS:

$5 from Randy to honor Jake and National Women’s Day and all the hardworking women supporting our community.

$5 from Stacey in honor of John Silo, Jake’s dear friend who passed away just before their Polio fundraising bike ride.

$5 from Tim Edborg in honor of Jake. John Silo, Tim and Jake skied and rode bikes together.

$5 from Ruth Lundin. She and Paul have fulfilled their waiting time after their second shot and are now liberated.

Becky Robbins whose photo was in the paper with Tory Irgang and a representative of the Chautauqua Institution Hebrew Organization. The organization donated $2000 to the Johnson/BPU Assistance Fund to help local people pay their utility bills.
