Thanks to Highway Cleanup crew part 2! Thanks to Michelle Jones and Social Committee for successful social event last week at Chautauqua Harbor Hotel.

Michelle Jones: Annual Dinner scheduled for Monday, June 27th at MBCC. Details to follow.

Volunteers needed for Christmas in July, Rotarian Max Eimiller has volunteered to lead effort for parade along Riverwalk. Contact Max if you can help.

Vision Committee will be meeting soon.

Diana Meckley: Literacy Committee attended Battle of Books at Chautauqua, very successful event! Please signup if you can participate at Bush School from June 1 to June 13 to read with students.

Marion Beckerink, Joni Blackman and Dave Painter all paid for UW Allocation of over $1 million.

Becky Robbins paid for the kickoff of Cents for St. Susan’s campaign and thanked the following businesses: Shults, National Fuel, Robbins Law, Slone Melhuish, Weinberg Financial.

Lee Magneson paid for a very successful book launch and signing and SALE. Over 100 attended, and many purchased the book!

Dave Painter honored the passing of Paul Wahlstrom and celebrated his recent marriage in Las Vegas - as well as the 19 people who celebrated with him.

Walt Pickut provided a happy buck for Stacey for giving him the opportunity to write the book!

Finally, Kevin Sixbey gave a happy buck for the Learn to Row class scheduled June 11th from 8am to 1pm at CLRA on Jones Gifford Rd. Come on down and learn to row.

Jeff Rotunda, Executive Director or UCAN Mission. United in Christian Advocacy Network (UCAN) operates a 29 bed, 45 day emergency shelter for men on West First Street in Jamestown.
UCAN is a public and privately funded organization that focuses on helping participants overcome the following challenges: Mental Health, Substandard Abuse, Loss of Family, Incarceration, and Chronic Unemployment. UCAN purchased the Field & Wright building and is in the process of converting this to a facility for women and families, since the current building only provides services for men. 
 
Priorities of UCAN Mission: 
 
1) A safe place to live
2) Life skills training
3) Health care and hygiene 
4) Local church connection & discipleship
5) Accountability 
6) Recovery
