2024 29th Annual Rotary Charity Golf Classic

Monday, July 15 dawned bright and beautiful for the shotgun start of the 29th Annual Rotary Charity Golf Classic held at Moon Brook Country Club founded by our very own Rotary Club.

Chaired by member Max Eimiller, who stepped into the shoes of former chairman Mike Bird to lead the field of twenty teams off the first tee with beautiful gift baskets from Chautauqua Soap. The beautiful weather held up until 3:00pm before three major downpours tried to spoil the outcome.

The Low Rotarian Trophy Winner for the second year in a row was none other than the event chairman Max Eimiller with a 77! Congratulations Max.

The Scramble winners were Dewey Jones, Steve Wintersteen, Brandon Walker and Mike Lawhead with a 52.8.

The 2 Best Balls of 4 category winners were Jon Gren, Phil Cala, Kurt Johnson, and Mike Martinelli with a 129. Here is a list of all the golf winners.

The best dressed award was given to Joelle Washer’s team with Heidi Pillitieri, Marilyn Fiore Nieves and Janet Bowman.

The 50/50 was won by Rich Dixon.

Many, many thanks to everyone involved from our fearless leader Chairman Max Eimiller, and all on his committee, especially Kathy Burch who keeps all the financials and records together. Thanks to Marion and Lisa Goodell for organizing the raffle items and thanks to all the Rotarians who played golf, who donated prizes, bought sponsorships, and who came for dinner to support all those who took part in our annual “fun-draiser.”
