WHAT A WONDERFUL ROTARY WEEKEND!!!!

Many thanks and congratulations to Max Eimiller for a very successful initial Miniature Golf Pub Crawl.

I have attached a photo of each of the teams.

First Place went to the team SHORT BUS – comprised of Dee. Joe, Carl, and Mike. They won $120 and a box of PROV1 golf balls. Their photo was photo bombed by Kristin Melville.

Second Place went to the Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union #1 sponsored by John Felton and including Kevin, Jerry, and Keith. This team won their entry fee back.

The teams played difficult putt-putt holes made by Ed Bradford at the Northwest Arena, The Pub, The Beer Snob, Haggy’s 4 Below and Brazil.

Following are more team photos:

If you recognize these folks, please thank them for participating in our first annual Mini golf bar crawl!

Thanks again to Max and Ed Bradford, to everyone who worked on signups. and to the hole monitors.

I NEED TO APOLOGIZE TO Emily Cama and all who worked on the lovely Christmas Party immediately following the Pub Crawl. This editor and golf hole monitor was exhausted and sat down at a table and drank in the lovely table decorations, the Christmas tree with all the presents and the lovely holiday buffet AND TOTALLY FORGOT TO TAKE ONE SINGLE PICTURE!!! Shame on me!

We had lovely crudites and drinks and then Emily opened the buffet of beef-on-weck, pulled pork, baked beans, macaroni and cheese and Vicki McGraw’s delicious Christmas cookies.

Then the fun began…

Two beautiful baskets were given away and each of the table poinsettias.

The exciting part of the evening was when Cheri Krull, Student Exchange Chairman introduced our Club’s nomination to the District as our Exchange Student for next year. We were all delighted to meet Stavros Singleton, a student a JHS, who was accompanied by his mother Alexis, who has volunteered to host an incoming student next year as well.

Stavros is tall and lanky and an actor and a musician – you might have seen him recently in a Little Theatre production. Mom is an owner of ElGreco Woodworking and Dad is a master chef and local musician. Stav has a younger brother and sister as well. We are looking forward to getting to know him and his family better before he goes abroad as our ambassador.

Finally, each person who brought a gift was given a number and could pick a present from under the tree and open it. They could then decide to keep it or take another person’s present instead. A lot of good-natured give-and-take and no one went home with a black eye.

Thank you again to Emily and her assistants for making the evening such fun and we are so sorry for those of you who missed the fun and frivolity.

Merry Christmas to all.
