Our program today was presented by Jim Kurtz, Board Member of the Chautauqua Hometown Heroes Veteran Memorial.
An employee of the Chautauqua County Health Dept. for 34 years, he has been retired for 17 years. He has been married to Arleen for 56 years and they have made their home in Mayville for 50 years. Jim has served on many boards and committees with many of the charities and service organizations of the county.

Jim and Tom Jordan, treasurer of the organization gave a wonderfully, stirring, entertaining presentation regarding the Veterans Memorial, the commemorating bricks and wall, the new gazebo and the local service men who have been honored including the County’s Medal of Honor winners so that absolutely none of them are ever forgotten. Wonderful information and wonderful stories.

PLEASE, PLEASE, watch the video of his presentation below and look up the Chautauqua Heroes Hometown Veterans Memorial.

Join us next week for an update on what is happening in Jamestown presented by Greg Edwards, Executive Director of the Gebbie Foundation.
