Cheri Krull introduced Joaquin Caparroz, our exchange student from Brazil as our speaker today.
He presented a power point "My Exchange Year" of his favorite things during his exchange. He arrived here in August of 2023 and immediately joined the winning Southwestern soccer team. Soccer is his favorite sport along with snow boarding. There is no snow in his hometown. He has lived with three families – Yaggies, Camas and Wrights. He likest he change of seasons and wonders why Americans eat so early. Prior to this exchange his family had an exchange student from Mexico. There were several audience questions. Joaquin has been a great exchange student!
