Tory Irgang introduced this week’s guest speaker. Osaze Ibhawa with Urban Mental Health Counseling Services here in Jamestown. Osaze is a licensed mental health counselor with years of experience collaborating with individuals in navigating through challenges and finding mental healthiness and wellbeing. Prior to establishing Urban Mental Health Counseling Services PLLC, Osaze earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor - NCC, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor - ICADC, Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor Advanced level - CASCAC Advance, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma treatment/therapeutic support.
Becky Robbins welcomed General Manager of New Flyer – Jamestown, Rhys Preston who has been with the company here since it opened in October 2016. Rhys brought over 35 years of manufacturing experience to the Jamestown Community College/Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency supported NYS Start -Up efforts of New Flyer of America. We’re glad he landed here. His wife works at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute as Operations Director.
Marion Beckerink introduced speaker Tom Calderone, president/CEO of WNED who Prior to joining Buffalo Toronto Public Media in August 2021, Tom Calderone held leadership positions with Spotify, VH1 and MTV and served as a consultant for media companies. Calderone was the Global Head of Content Partnership/Global Head of Studios for Spotify, pioneering the company’s expansion into new areas of audio and video content, including podcasts and mobile-friendly video series.
